Born in the outskirts of Gyr Abania and raised in the slums of Ishgard. He has no memory of the family he came from, only the life that was given to him by the elderly woman who took him in from the cold streets of The Brume.

On his 18th nameday, Nero left his home in Ishgard to make a name for himself in the world. He set out for the marine city of Limsa Lominsa, with hopes of joining a guild and finding work there. Upon his arrival, Nero found himself robbed of the little gil he had brought. Now stranded, unable to even afford an inn room for the night. To get back on his feet, he found work as a petty mercenary - as an Au-ra people found his appearance and stature to be quite intimidating, which certainly helped in this line of work.
